Fuel pump fits into the top of the tank. You have to drop the tank to get to it. AFAIK fuel pumps are the same for all Scorpio models.

Be sure to get a new gasket. Be sure to make sure when you fit the pump back into the tank with the new gasket, you have a LOT of power to get the flange 'twisted' into the original position. You WILL need a lot of strength, or be very accurate with a blunt screwdriver to get the pump back into the correct position. I'm fairly handy with spanners, I would say changing the pump on an old tank is definitely not for the faint hearted. I put my old pump onto a brand-new Ford Tank, with a new gasket....................Boy that was tough.
