Questions about the large intern rear view M

Hi All - I know there have been some comments about the rear view mirror - I was also privvy to see the greenish gunge and mess that had dripped out of ( Nevs ?? ) Mirror at Derby.
My question
I have noticed a brownish haze - like a half kidney shape in the rear view mirror - under the mirrored silver surface - it covers half of the mirror
Is that normal ??
I had not really noticed it before
Does that mean my mirror is on the way out and I need to replace it ??.
If so - can just the mirror section be replaced or do you have to replace the whole thing - and at what cost ??
Please tell me is that brownish internal haze on anyone elses mirror ??

this does not sound right to me,as a suggestion,and to try to avoid any nasty suprises,i would consider changing the mirror,i dont know fords price,but they can and do come up for auction on ebay,it sounds like the fluid has started to move about,could well be the beginning of something more sisister,and i am afraid to report that the whole mirror has to be replaced,you just cant change the glass or something like that
