ROUGH IDLE ON START UP

I have a 2.3 scorpio and when it's cold or on first start up the car judders and has a lack of power for about a mile and is fine again.... any ideas?

MAF Sensor. Take off and clean with a good carb-cleaner (smells like thinners) Don't be tempted to fiddle about with anything sharp to remove bits inside. First port of call. After that it's EGR valve, and the pipes to it. Then the sensor for the temperature in the inlet manifold, then throttle position sensor. How's the fuel-loom? If the wires are brittle.................! Try those, and get back to us.

I gave the maf sensor a good clean yesterday and the car started fine this morning. Thank you for your help
