Title: Gear oil
Post by derekne on May 5th, 2005, 11:49pm
Howdy.
I have a 2.3 saloon scorp 1998.
Id like to ask on here if anyone knows where and how to add more gear oil. As when cold my gears are a pig to get in. They become stiff and sometimes crunch as they go in. Once warmed it seems fine. Unless I go to change gear quickly.
On the cars ive added oil to in the past. Have been behind the front passenger wheel when on full lock.
Regards...

To Top up the gear box oil , just remove the level plug on the side of the gear box and put more oil in until it reaches that level,

There is a drain plug on the manual gear box so that the oil can be changed if required.
Its ALL in the gear box section on the main site.
