Title: Any ideas?? Post by nice_1 on Jan 29th, 2007, 4:15pm I have just got my 12v scorpio running again after the fuse box tried to meltdown (water corrossion). New fuse box sorted the problem. The thing is, the car won't start on the key, ign lights etc come on but nothing when the key is turned. I have had this car 5 years the starter has been acting up for ages. ie not starting on the key although you could here the solenoid clicking when turned, I fitted a sepetrate switch to the solenoid and have run it like this for a couple of years.......to cut to the chase I now have the same senario with out the clicking solenoid, but when I turn the key to the off position it sounds like their is a 'flasher unit' type clicking going on in the dash. It stops clicking about 10 seconds after IGN being turned off..... if you've read this far, apologies for being so long winded. Any Ideas? ??? |

Title: Re: Any ideas?? Post by Scorpius on Jan 29th, 2007, 11:36pm I had this on my Granada Scorpio after i stripped, cleaned and rebuilt both fuseboxes. I turned out that one of the relay pins was not contacting and not running the fuel pump. I corrected this by running a wire around the fusebox to make the supply to the relay pin. Ian |
