i have a 1994 2 litre scorpio auto,and it wont go into 4th gear.

Is your speedo working ok?
Tried cleaning the MAF?

My alarm bells always start ringing when I see 1994, and I know the Scorpio came out late 94 and I have one myself BUT is it a Scorpio you have or a Granada (85-94)

Been caught out too many times before ;)

If that doesnt help then i think you're looking at a wiring loom or a gearbox problem.

I think I've read the engine has to be up to a certain temperature, in which case a faulty temp sender is a possibility (not the one to the temperature gauge - so gauge reading may not be relevant).

Does the green O/D dash light work as it should ?

It's not flashing or anything ?
