Post by JimmyJaffa on Jul 24th, 2008, 10:02am
Hi all,
can anyone tell me if estate rear springs are stiffer than the sallons and would they fit the saloon as i want some stiffer rear springs so i can tow my caravan with out the towbar scraping on the floor, many thanks, jim.

Hi, no the estate springs are different and wont fit.
There are spring assisters i believe which can be fitted or the option of self levelling suspension which was offered as an option on the saloon but as yet ive never seen or even heard of one that had it fitted.

My saloon doesnt drop much at all when towing, have you got all your heavy stuff in the nose of the caravan? ;)

Ride height is controlled by the springs, not the shocks.

Jimmy.
You could get a pair of Monroe Ride Levellers LA355,or a pair of rubber Grayston spring assisters which fit between the coils, these are the types of equipment fitted to stretched Scorps.
