I have just found out today that my 2.3 Ghia x has global opening/closing.

I hold the key in the open position to open windows and sunroof.
I hold the key in the closed position to close windows and sunroof.

The thing is, only the passenger side windows and sunroof operate whilst doing this.
Am I missing something to get the driver side windows to do the same ?

No, you have a fault somewhere, they should all open and close.
do the drivers side windows work via their respective switches?

yes they do

fault somewhere then trace them back while trying the global closing

would a obd scan find the fault ?

I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to leccy problems.
