Gang, i'm currently running a very presentable 2.3 Ultima but would like to get the same in Diesel, is their a Diesel Ultima auto out there?

Prehaps I missed something, none of the listings say 'Auto' or is that just assumed/ ???

as far as I remember, all of the Ultima variants were autos. Only the Executive, Ghia and Ghia-X models were manual. Certainly the later models anyway!

hiya baz.i have a s-reg 2.3 ultima manual,is that a rare setup.anyway im positive i seen a diesel ultima auto on e-bay recently

The auto for the diesel was only available for less than a year before the end of production, they are out there but there arent many about.

Big timer is yours a facelift or a late registered prefacelift?

As far as I know, the TD was available with auto trans only for the last few months of production so are pretty rare.

About the 2.3 Ulti in manual, not sure about rare but yup, they're pretty unusual, well outnumbered by the autos - unusual enough that I didn't come accross one in the year or so I was looking for one. Closest I got was a Tourmallard 2.0 Ghia X with Recaro pack and 7 spokes, shame it'd been shunted and patched up, would've been a good 2.3 transplant :(

highlander,its a 97 model registered 98 in nouveau red.vr on the vin.the only reason i bought it was because it was manual.actually travelled over the water to coventry to get it.travelled all the way back an absolute dream.from coventry to holyhead,ferry across to dun loire then from there to belfast.what a trip
