I was just wondering, has anybody made a soft top scorpio? it has really good lines and I think it would make a stunning cab. Open to suggestions! Just throughing an idea into the arena. Answers on a post card.

Didn't happen to get a new angle grinder for Christmas did you Robbo ? ;D

Seriously though, I've never seen or heard of one, so you could be the first ;)

Seen a couple of Capris & Cortinas in the past that had similar surgery & they looked pretty good, even used to know a guy who went one further & turned his MK2 Granny into a pick-up :)

I seem to recall in the early days of the forum someone actually doing this project, but cannot remember the details . Might still be on here if it was after the BIG server crash we suffered a few years ago, but I don't think so . If I find it I will post you the link.

Well the lad I work with went a bit mad with a carlton, but its the structure of the car, would the back doors need welding and re-enforcing, and then whats vosa's stand on it.

Many many years ago crayford conversions used to convert various cars, just been on their website, but seems they never did one

In theory, its possible - would more than likely require the welding of the rear doors and substantial bracing of the sills to take the load normally carried by the roof. However, i think it could look rather good :)

Someone photoshopped a Sierra XR4i as a Pillarless Cabby on the FSOC - IMO it was a thing of beauty ;D
