Title: Installing fuelpump assembly Post by tlundkvi on Apr 2nd, 2009, 10:43am The instructions for installing/removing the fuelpump/sensor assembly discuss a special tool (23-026) which is used to secure/detach it. I have a new locking ring and gaskets etc. Now the question is, is it easy to remove the lock ring without this tool (and in that case how is a good way to do it), or is the only option a Ford specialist who may have the tool. Is the tool reasonably obtainable for a low cost? The FMD is the right option, since not all parts (the tank) are not bought from them and may refuse to install parts they have not sold themselves. |

Title: Re: Installing fuelpump assembly Post by gozz on Apr 2nd, 2009, 8:19pm tlundkvi. Get to large screwdrivers, kneel on the tank, arrange the screwdrivers in a crossed position in the lugs on the retainer and simply screw it off. GOZZ. |
