Title: Fuse box
Post by sierra20 on Jun 28th, 2009, 3:20pm
ive been reading about some members having troubles with there electrics and fuseboxes due to them getting drowned in water, could someone tell me if this is caused by the battery cover not being fitted, or is there a drain hole that gets blocked causeing the fuse box to fill with water.

BOTH!! :)

There are seals on the fuseboxes but they dont seem to work too well, especially in the battery side fusebox, there are drain holes below the fuseboxes which clog with all the gunge that is washed down from the windscreen.

I clean them out with a hose or watering can

Isn't that a bit risky cleaning them with a hose, or is their a way of doing this

i dont run it over the fuseboxes, just round the bodywork below them
