Title: Steering noise Post by Chieftain on Oct 17th, 2009, 2:14pm When driving and turning right, I get a droning noise bit like an aero engine in films. Hub seems ok and it only happens on the move, possible bearing? if so is it easier as I think I have seen on here to replace the whole hub? |

Title: Re: Steering noise Post by Jonnycab on Oct 18th, 2009, 1:06am I think you are going to have to be a bit more specific about the kind of sound you're hearing......I can't really think of anything on the Scorp that might make the sound of an aeroplane engine in films :-/ |

Title: Re: Steering noise Post by Chieftain on Oct 18th, 2009, 8:48am You are right but sounds are always thec hardest to convey. On turning right lock it is a constant low drone hum, cant think of anyother way to describe it, which I know is not helpful. have a suggestion that to PS pump may need bleeding. |

Title: Re: Steering noise Post by Simmo on Oct 18th, 2009, 1:40pm If you think it is air in the system then raise the front of the car so that the load is off the wheels without them actually being off the ground. Then turn the steering wheel from lock to lock a few times, with the engine running. Do NOT hold it on the full lock postion. Have you had the car jacked up with the wheels fully suspended recently?. Sometimes that creates problems once the car is used again and usually this method solves it. |
