Hi need some advice as cant find plumbing map for 2.3

i want to try and flush matrix...am i right in assuming the input to matrix comes off back of thermostat and outlet goes into rear of water pump?? that pipe is stone cold just trying to find easiest connection points to attempt high pressure flush before attemting dashboard removal

Yep, that is correct....input goes from t-stat & output goes to water pump ;)

hi there

just watch how much pressure you use as the matrix pipes are only plastic (and are a fair age now).

Before I replaced my matrix 4 years ago, I noticed that every time I tried to flush the matrix & then drain the system, I would get little bits of tan coloured plastic in my drain bowl ???

It wasn't until I pulled out the old matrix that I realised that these little bits of plastic were actually the end parts of the matrix plastic inlet & outlet pipes that had got so brittle (age & heat) they had broken up ::)

tks for that maybe it makes more sense to not touch those connections and flush from the ends of the hoses at the stat and pump/ would you say thats a better idea?
