Title: scorpio rear wheels / springs Post by adrian1981 on Apr 5th, 2010, 10:48pm i have a problem with my rear wheels,on a 2.3 Saloon. They sit like that: / \ . What can i do to fix it? I want to install some rubber buffers under the rear springs, hoping to raise a little bit the car. In this case will the wheels straighten up,or do i need other new springs? Or is there any problem? |

Title: Re: scorpio rear wheels / springs Post by adrian1981 on Apr 5th, 2010, 11:06pm thanks for your answer. The springs and the bushes are pretty old,as far as i know, but at least i have a starting point. |

Title: Re: scorpio rear wheels / springs Post by Highlander on Apr 5th, 2010, 11:17pm I'd change the springs then, does the car sit low down at the back, is there any clearance between the tyres and the arches? |

Title: Re: scorpio rear wheels / springs Post by adrian1981 on Apr 5th, 2010, 11:23pm yes,the car sits pretty down even unloaded, not to mention with 4 persons on board, ant the clearance between the tyres and the springs is very small. But if i mount this rubber buffers, the springs will be more tensioned, and in this case, will the car sit a little more up? |

Title: Re: scorpio rear wheels / springs Post by Jonnycab on Apr 6th, 2010, 10:09am I had the same problem about a year ago & considering I tend to take a few heavy loads (taxi), I bought some KYB heavy duty saloon rear springs (part No RA5308 ) for £38.39 each from these people.... http://www.awshop.co.uk/default.aspx .....which sorted the problem & gave it practically the same lift as the estate. P.S....they do standard springs as well, but for some reason they're more expensive. |
