Hi all what diagnostic device might give me the answer to poor idle on a budget.

there are some low priced scanners out there which will give you codes only although probably not ABS related or Autobox related codes

The lead from Alex Pepper http://www.obd-2.com uses a PC/laptop and comes with software enabling you to see all the real time data.

i.e.

It will not only give you a fault code but lets you view all the data, figures and processes causing the code and is probably the best option although not the cheapest.

I found this one on ebay 110662404080 will this do? If not what one will be ok?

That's saying for vehicles after 2001 which have CANBUS (whatever that is.)

I have the U380 and it reads the codes for the Scorpio ok except ABS
