Title: CD Changer Wiring
Post by keefyr on May 3rd, 2011, 6:40pm
Hi anybody known if the wiring associated with a remote CD changer is installed as standard in a Ghia estate. If so where is it hidden ?

Cheers

keef

Hi keef..... not sure if it will be installed on the ghia model, but if it is, it will be taped up behind the opening panel on the left side of the load area. The head end should be up behind the radio somewhere. If it isn't installed, the loom isn't that expensive to buy, but you would need the estate bracket and changer too of course.

there is a lead here:

The changer is vertically mounted in the compartment on the left side of the rear load area. Behind the drop down flap

Oh-kay ~ presume you only have a drop down flap if there's a CD changer behind it http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/images/misc/unsure.gif

Behind the wheel arch is it?

Which reminds me, somewhere I saw a thing that turns an iPod output into FM so you can play it on your car FM radio. Said 'thing' plugs into the lighter socket
