Hi
My 2.3 has a rpm related noise coming from the front of the engine.  On closer inspection there is a gold coloured disc, about 60mm diameter located behind the crankshaft pulley, which is spinning/floating freely and not attached to to either the engine block or crankshaft pulley?  Any ideas?

Is it the front crank seal loose from the timing cover ? is there oil exuding from the area ? I would expect a mess if the seal is adrift.

thats the dust cover cume off the crank pulley
