Title: air bag light Post by a900one on Jul 9th, 2016, 10:14am Just taken the car for its mot and the airbag light stayed on, it only came on very rarely before. I put the side lights on to warm the dash up a bit to see if it would go off which it did. The car passed ;D but the light had come on again when I left the mot station. So I think its time to do the solder repair. As mine has got climate control can i leave the heater controls alone and get the speedo out after removing the wood bit, I know its plastic really, I rather leave as much alone as possible. Also can I put another repaired speedo in and keep the right mileage Cheers, Gerald |

Title: Re: air bag light Post by Technology2005 on Jul 9th, 2016, 3:36pm Ironically I've just done this repair (again) The Climate Control panel has a latched ribbon connector to detach and also the heated rear screen buttons have multiplugs to disconnect. Removing the "wood" panel is tricky enough, but I would expect very difficult to impossible with these cables left attached, so I would recommend removing the Climate Control panel before attempting to remove the "wood" dash. Also, the "tang" for the climate control panel is at the heated screen switch (right hand) end in case you were unsure. I used a plastic guitar pick to detach the panel top and bottom slowly working it loose. Hope this helps, David |
