Hello! I’m new here on the forum but I have a question/problem…. I brought a pair of Scorpio, one sedan 2.0 16 valve with 75000 km on the odometer and one 2.9 estate with approximately 210000 km on the odometer last year. The sedan was more or less key ready besides a faulty generator, changed it and drove right away to MOT.

But the estate was a mess. The seller told me that the previous owner had a faulty ignition lock and tried to fix that but only done it much worse 😒. The previous owner had shorted the PATS module or something and had broken the antenna. SO…. Now, one year later I’m still stuck, I had tried to bypass the system and I done some progress that the engine fires up on a couple of cylinders on starting fluid but like I said I’m still stuck.

I had looked for the PATS wiring scheme here on forum, on google, asked Ford about it but no luck ( well something positive right? ). So, I really want to save this Scorpio from scraping because that’s what I’m doing, it’s so few even from the start and here in Sweden almost every single scorpio is scrapped 😞 Is it someone who knows, or maybe even had a copy of the PATS wiring scheme to send me a copy on Mail (NOT her on the open forum)? Or knows where it is possible to get a copy of that?

I have some wiring details, i think the problem may be if the PAT is coded to the ECU. So test the PATS as a stand alone, if that works its a trip to Ford to get them to code the new PATS to the ECU

The PATS can not be bypassed, it sends a code to the ECU and the ECU will only run if the correct code is recived.

Let my have your email if you still need wiring diagrams, unfortuantly there are a few verions and I only have the one, mine is a 1998 24v BOB, but the concept should be very similar.
