Title: Re: Engine Wiring Loom Post by Jackattack2002 on Aug 22nd, 2025, 6:48pm Sadly no, but it's easier than you think to rebuild a new one. Providing your critical engine & gearbox connectors are undamaged, you can readily buy all the pins, 2-pin connectors, wire, soldering iron and a crimp tool for about £300. The painful bit is the time it will consume. You will also have to lower the gearbox to cleanly remove and install a new loom. |

There is a chap that does new looms for varying scenarios on this link. I have spoken to him he certainly knows all the problems with these cars. I rebuilt my own engine loom but now am rebuilding the rest of the engine bay loom itself back into the ecu in the passenger footwell. I got the engine and gearbox working absolutely great with the my new engine and gearbox loom but with ancillaries like the fan etc also being controlled by the ecu it wouldnt come on when required and I overheated the engine. Probably headgasket away. Anyway link to Glyn's FB page to some of his good explanation videos. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61553214131140 |

Title: Re: Engine Wiring Loom Post by Belmont on Aug 29th, 2025, 10:55am Cheers cobrascim for the link Building my own looms is a bit beyond my skills and time good on you for getting yours done shame it was not all controlled by the one loom. I given Glyn a call and he knows his stuff and got a new loom being built so should be back on the road shortly. |
