Title: New on the forum
Post by TISA on Oct 5th, 2006, 11:21am
Hello all, Im new to the forum and thought it would be apporpriate to introduce my self a bit.

my name is Timo im 31 years old and live in Sweden, ive been working professionally with cars (mainly Volvo) for about 15 years, but today im the proud owner of an 1995 Scorpio mkII 2.0 16V Estate, manual gearbox, with full service history and just about 210000 highway km on the speedo, my knowledge of ford vehicles isn’t that big and consist only of two previous fords I have owned.. one 1988 escort and an 90 sierra sedan, I have learned much by just reading through this forum as well as the mail list for a couple of days and I hope I will be able to contribute with knowledge off my own, my professional speciality is engines and engine management, though fords EEVC system is a bit more complex than the standard Volvo supplies.. :) I hope u can make sence of what I write, my English is so so..

/Timo ::)

Welcome aboard mate :D

130000 miles and still with a full service history? Sounds like you got a nice motor there ;)

Regards, Bruce.

thank you.!

yup its very well cared for..  though ive discovered few pathces of surface rust! Gah, but nothing that cant be dealt with.

the engine runs very well not a single knocking exept from the injectors. and the engine itself and engine bay is dry and very nice besides the dust of course.  only one little fling with the engine..  the idle is a bit odd when the engine is cold..  it kinda pulses between 1000 and 800rpm,  but im preparing and complete checkup of the loom and all connectors, and also do a full system search regarding component condition and so on.

ive bought the car from the first owner who bought it in -95 and its been serviced by a Ford dealer every year within the servicebook,  and its now time to service it once more but this time il take care of it myself.

Welcome. The first place to look if you have problems is on the front page. Click on 'Home' or the 'Ford Scorpio' banner at the top of this page. Go to Fault Finder which is a great start,or scroll to the bottom of the page and insert a word in the search box. For example, MAF, or IACV which are sensors which can affect the idle and all the details you want will be there. Enjoy your car and if 'our' Swedish was as good as your English we'd be pretty pleased with ourselves!!. ;)
