>:( is it just me just becoming a grumpy old git but it seems about every fourth car has it foglights on there seems to be a growing band of so called car drivers who never turn them off,maybe they turn them off when it is foggy ???

Its not just you mate, it annoys me aswell.
Round hear it mainly seams to be the chav mobiles.
Think I might start doing it because those chavs do look so cool in there ever so fast saxos and corsas ;D

I share a lift into work with one of those saxo people, when I asked him why he has his fog lights on all the time his answer was 'it looks smart dun it'. So there you go, its annoying though and the police round here (bridgwater, somerset) have started to fine people. Rightly so I think because some are really bright and distracting. 8)

It's a national phenomenon >:( ;D

At least with some makes of car, you can't put the fogs on without the headlamps - which stops this kind of thing happening ::)

Just looks a bit daft if you ask me, some people are so desperate to be seen in a 'pimped' ride ::)

new car owners are being told by salesmen who don,t know any different that the lights below the bumpers are aux driving lts. read the lighting regs and you,ll see what can and can,t be used and when .what gets me is the amount of new cars that can drive on puny little side lts alone, to me when lts are switched on dim dip or even dipped lts should always be used. side lts are for parking i would have thought,try doing the scandinavian thing and drive all the time on dipped lts , people actually see you and don,t pull out in front of you as much!

Yes but then it becomes much harder to spot motorbikes who are generally fully lit, even in daylight.

in cornwall people will either drive with no lights on, normally the grey and silver cars that become camoflagued on wet and grey days! or they will drive in front of you in fine weather with their rear foglights on!! i must say that theoretically my full beam is pretty good at driving the point home not that i would ever condone such actions!! ;) ;)

On my rare trips to Cornwall, I've found the drivers far better than those here in Devon.

I've got to say that Julie because my wife is originally from St Mawes and fiercely Cornish. :o

They really are the pits round here in Torquay, most of them are over 95, and I'm totally convinced that our Cab Drivers in particular think that indicators are an 'optional extra'..........They might as well be because they never ever use them. ;)

no problem! being on the tip of the country on the lands end peninsular it is very often foggy(low laying clouds) and i have to travel on narrow winding lanes all over this way on a daily basis and believe me it is very scary at times!! many cars this way will forget to put their lights on in these conditions as anyone listening to radio cornwall will hear as the station constantly moans at people to use their lights in these conditions, its as though some people think it will cost them a lot extra to use lights than not! anyone visiting cornwall do check out the local radio whilst driving here as the locals are very good at updating traffic info as to latest accidents and hold-ups. i'm heading into exmouth shortly to visit some family, i'll check out the drivers! greetings to your lady, i love st mawes and often take my little one for a trip on the king harry ferry, like here though too busy to quietly enjoy during the season
