Not on the Scorpio but one of my other cars...
Had an alarm fitted a few months ago, everything worked fine till last weekend...alarm would not disable with the remote fob ??? Tried it several times during the day, changed the batteries and late in the evening it all started working normally again. Tried it again early next morning, all still working fine. Came home from work around 6pmto find it was no longer disarming with the remote. Tried it again later that evening, all working fine. Have repeated this every day this week, same result. >:(
So, basically it works early morning and late at night but not in the daytime. As the tree said to the chainsaw, I'm stumped - any ideas :-/

Mike, this may sound daft BUT in Lynn's car I fitted a set of reversing sensors. The audible/visual display sits in a small compartment in the centre of the dash. When the car has been sitting in the sun and is thus baking inside the audible sound is greatly reduced to point where it is almost inaudible. It has to be heat related as it functions perfectly otherwise. Just a thought?. ???

Car is not currently moveable ;)
Tried the alarm at various times of the day - even in the cooler mornings & evenings it was very hit & miss.
Installer popped round today and fitted a replacement unit which will hopefully cure the problem.
