Title: drivers heated seat problem
Post by kluge on May 8th, 2004, 4:31pm
Hi

I have a problem with drivers heated seat- it does not work. Tried continiousity of the circuit (the cables underneath the seat) and it seems to be broken-  the cables or the heating element.
Have anyone tried to fix such a problem?
Is it difficult to decompose the seat? and to put the new
heating element if needed?
Does anybody have scheme of the front seats- wires etc.

regards
kluge

if it's any help, the haynes manual for the earlier "granny",did explain how to do this, after reading it though, decided against it,bit too much effort, but yes can still be done

Most car upholstery businesses will replace the heated seat elements.
A friend of mine got his done (pair) for £40.
You will probably have to take your seats out for it to be done.
