Title: Re: Some bits sorted now its just this..... Post by KEF on May 18th, 2004, 6:17pm Hi Lucas The Cruise Control, You should have on the lefthand side 2 black switch's one with a white circle and one with a red circle, when you are going above 25 mph if you press the white circle switch you put the cruise control on, by pressing the + sign on the righthand side of the steering wheel once, you should see a sign of a speedo light up on the left hand corner of the dash. if you take your foot of the acclerator the car should stay at the speed you were going, if you press it again a couple of times you will see the speedo start to rise and gain speed. common sense will tell you if you press the - sign it will lose speed. Press the switch with the red circle, to turn off the cruise control, has soon has you touch the break it cut's out the cruise control try this first then we will go on to the = sign which is a cancel / Resume Feature, you can cancel the speed session temporarily by pressing the = sign. then to return to the previously stored speed press the = sign again. and there you have it . best to try it out on a quit road first to get use to it. Title: Re: Some bits sorted now its just this..... Post by lucas on May 19th, 2004, 7:45pm Paul b the door pannel can teased out of position from the inside if you unscrew the grab handle and the screw by the inside handle and pull it upwards slightly and then its just a case of releasing the latch from the inside! The cruise does not work then, what doe you suppose could be wrong with it? Lucas |

Title: Re: Some bits sorted now its just this..... Post by Richard on May 21st, 2004, 7:35pm I had the same problem with the cruise not working,Then when i was working under the bonnet one day i noticed a cable going down behind the grille direction, wondered what it was,as it was not connected to anything, this turned out to be the cruise cable.I have since found out it has had a botch head job and they did not reconnect the cable. Head fixed now though, had to have a new one. Try the cable. |

Title: Re: Some bits sorted now its just this..... Post by Pauleo on May 22nd, 2004, 8:07am Hi I have mentioned it a few times before and some say it has worked, but the way I activate my cruise is different to the manual. Press 'on' followed immediately by '+' This should bring the light on, Now press and hold '+' at the speed until you feel the accelerator pedal go down . Give it a go you never know Paul |
