Title: Vandalism Post by DJWerkz on Jan 6th, 2005, 11:32pm Well, as some of you are aware, I am in the middle of legal action over a wrecked Scorpio Cosworth engine but this evening I just got a call from my brother-in-law who has told me that while the vehicle was parked on his drive-way someone has come along and keyed the car all the way down the passenger side! (no, the garage I am taking to Court do not know where the vehicle is). It sadens me that some people in this World can do nothing better than perform mindless acts of damage. I can see there being another Cosworth being broken for parts quite soon on here,... |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by dexix on Jan 7th, 2005, 12:04am Sorry to hear that mate, I never leave my car on the road outside my house as there are a lot of kids going up and down the road but I am so paranoid about it on the drive I installed cctv so at least I can see a before during and after vandalism shot! Its a sad day when others jealousy results in such actions! |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by Eddie on Jan 7th, 2005, 2:34am It is indeed a sad world sometimes. Not long after I bought my Omega :o,a working replacement for the scorpio, some toe rag tried to gain entry by trying to lever of the front door skins. The gap was so big I could get my hand inside the doors. :( eddie |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by johnv on Jan 7th, 2005, 6:50am In Coventry where I live in thee serpate districts, (but not to near to me) there as been lots of people having all their tyres puntured in the side walls with a sharp knife over night. I talking about maybe 60 to 80 cars just in one night. I am thinking that some one started this crase which in turn started off this increasing across the city. But in the past year people around me have had the wipers blades twisted and wing mirrows wrenched off, and this parked on there own drives. Most people can't get there cars in a garage because cars are so much wider than the olden day cars. It seams that big youths say 16 to 21 years are doing all this with sometimes as young as 14. |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by waders on Jan 8th, 2005, 12:43pm Driving home, I notice my dog has had his nose on my windscreen. I pull up outside my house and decide to clean the 'screen while it's in my mind. I fumble around in the pockets of the front chairs (from the front) and after a short time find the cloth and new can of window cleaner. I go about cleaning my 'screen. I can see 3 youths walking up the road towards me, thought no more of them untill the one kerb side, jumped onto my bonnet on all fours like a monkey!! So, I'm out the door, kid jumps off my car back onto the pavement and runs.......... Many years ago I played Baseball, pitcher...........BULLSEYE, did I say it was a "full can" that was in my hand ::) Said youth will think before he jumps on anything now! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by DJWerkz on Jan 16th, 2005, 8:22pm ...got my car moved to a different spot but now that I have seen the damage it is mostly on the front passenger door. It was not enough to just key a line down it, the gits drew wavy patters in an oval formation around the door panel. Oh well at least it can be re-painted if I ever decide to put the car back on the road. |

Title: Re: Vandalism Post by DJWerkz on Jan 16th, 2005, 8:38pm Make me an offer for the car then Bill and it's yours! ;) Other than the engine rebuild everything has about 90k on it with a new radiator. We have to get an automatic ASAP that is large enough for our family and it seesm the Volvo 900 series with the fold-away rear seats has drawn the short straw. Being on disability and income support, money is not something we have much of, but we need a better car than our old Sierra just so it dosn't kill me everytime I'm in it! We'll talk soon matey. |
