headlights are bright ! started ok this afternoon but now nothing (had a heavy downpour last night !)

We need more info than just will not start...
Any lights warning lights . PATS flashuing any codes. etc. etc
trell us more .
what engine , have you got a battery cover ?

thanks snoopy. the car is a 97 scorpio 2.0 16 dohc auto .battery cover fitted. no warning lights. and sorry i dont no what pats are :-[

Does the engine turn over.....is there a spark ?

thanks david. its the earth strap that's snapped off on the started motor. any tips or hints of what to do. as you can tell i aint no mechanic ! :(
