A 1996 4 cyl 2.3 manual scorpio has taken to cutting out with no predicability. Will restart after some 20 mins, have had speedo problem and still cannot find the VSS relay. Could the VSS cause the cutting out? if so where is it? or any suggestions. Have trooped car around including ford dealers to no solution. ???

Could be something as simple as one of the relays overheating. Next time it stops have feel of the fuel pump relay it can over heat and stop working, Happened to a member on here sometime ago .
