Title: Remote could leave you with no car! Post by Cros on Apr 15th, 2006, 7:06am The manual I have for my Scorpio is in German which I don't speak, so I decided to download the English version from this site. From not too many interesting facts I've learnt was the procedure for reprogramming the remote. It says if the vehicle does not recognize its remote "simply press the key on the rome control, and open the vehicle with the key within 10 seconds". So does this mean that I could buy a 'blank' Scorpio remote and just wait for someone to open up his car with a key so that I can tune up the remote to his vehicle? Surely this would be a great investment! I think Scorpio owners in my country are lucky I ain't a thief, but the thought that I was not the only one reading that manual scares me. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o |

Title: Re: Remote could leave you with no car! Post by Atlantic_blue on Apr 15th, 2006, 7:14am The instructions in the hand book, you may be glad to hear are totally wrong. The car must be in programming mode with the ignition key. Otherwise you cannot program the remote. |
