Title: My idle problem... 24v Post by twinturbo on Sep 6th, 2006, 11:21am Ok I have had my 24v on the road for 5 days and have noticed that when cold for about 4 minuts the idle is a little rough and hunts a bit. Today when slowiing in traffic the car cut out ( I assume due to low idle ) At first I thought the ECT may be reading wrongly at cold, but the cut out makes me think that perhaps the ISCV is sticcking a little. What do you guys recon? Is the ISCV easy to get at on the BOB.. I seem to remember it being tricky on the BOA. Is the ECT easy to get to? Cheers TT |

Title: Re: My idle problem... 24v Post by mazzy_j on Sep 8th, 2006, 7:42am Have you cleaned the MAF? Have a look at the wiring underneith as on my cossie the wireing to the VSS and the 2 post cat oxygen sensors had corroded and was shorting out causing the car to idle really low and varying from 500 to 1250rpm. once i had re-wired it idled as it should a felt a bit crisper from pulling off :) Matt |

Title: Re: My idle problem... 24v Post by twinturbo on Nov 4th, 2006, 8:26pm Spent an hour today taking the plenum off, I knew I had a bit of a leak from the sleev on the passenger rear of the spider... Anyway.. Replaced the 0-rings which were very brittle. Also replaced some of the vac hoses that seemed very loose on the stubs.. And replaced the FPR for good measure ( with a second hand one... ) Started her up and she settled down well and san without cutting out.. Seems a hell of a lot better, still got a slight miss and stil need to see what it's like from a FREEEZING start.. Before I could not warm the engine whilst scraping ice as it wsould just QUIT.... So lets see.. TT |
