Title: 24v Running Post by Frank on Oct 1st, 2006, 10:15am Hi Guys..any help would be greatly appreciated....some time back I had autobox changing problems, revs rising without throttle being pressed and finally over fuelling to no.6 resulting in petrol getting into the engine and being thrown out of the exhaust....a garage has done the following....put in a new secondhand PCM replaced some if not all of the injector wiring.....a number of fault codes were generated before the work was undertaken hence the PCM replacemen...the work was finished last week and the guy has told me that the car started perfectly ran perfectly for about 40 minutes and then started missing thje revs climbed up to 3000 and it started over fuelling again.........the only code generated was for the TPS which has been flashed up on previous occasions............any ideas please Thanks Frank |

Title: Re: 24v Running Post by howiedintheplace on Oct 1st, 2006, 8:25pm The TPS can cause them problems so that is where to start. First disconect the battery, go & have a cupa then reconnect. Any change? If not look at the wiring of the TPS & check what the setting of the TPS is on your scanner. Should be about 15% or 0.7V at idle. If not it's either faulty or wired wrong. |

Title: Re: 24v Running Post by howiedintheplace on Oct 13th, 2006, 11:03pm I would Check fuel rail pressure next. Also how do you know it's running rich, are you looking at the plugs or going by the emissions. When you scan it the only codes you get is the TPS ??? |
