Jonno, if you look in give advice posts, i'm becomming quite good at putting mirrors/door cards on/off. Assuming your mirrors are electric it's a bit more involved than you'd first think. Removing the mirror from its mount is straight forward. To remove the plugs that connect to the door module is the slightly tricky bit!
You need to take the door panel off and sound proofing enough to see top right hand of door, unplug the 2 plugs(Blk and White one from their relevant connectors) Then to get room to fed them out through very tight gap, you'll have to remove door module(3 Screws) carefull it doesn't drop down the door frame like it did with me first time i tried! Fit new mirror then reattach everything. Hope this helps.
Guy

[] with cossieguy.

With the door card, there's a few hidden screws, you'll need to prise out the power window switch to get at a well hidden one.

Hope this helps, Bruce.

Many thanks Guys, when I get a fortnight off I'll get right on it. Seriously, though, much appreciated.Whilst we are all here.........!

My Temp dial, after being central since I've had the Lady,is now going up and down like a Fiddlers elbow. It borders on the red, then comes back down, then it goes the other way although not quite down to the blue, plus, I seem to be using a lot of water. Any thoughts?

The temp sender could be faulty or you could have an airlock, making the needle dance but...

...if you're losing water then check the radiator and hoses for leaks, also the heater matrix for the heater. Cooling system is sealed so should barely use any at all. All depends if your good lady is running well ;)

Regards, Bruce :).

Jonno just had a similar problem with mine, look here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=display;num=1160308104;start=)
to clean/find temp sender or to carry out removal of air lock.
Hope this helps,
Guy.

Hi All
Just a further funny thing I noticed with my Temp.dial problems that I forgot to mention. It may be my imagination, but on occasion I have had a 'Pong' in the car, which I can only describe as Vegetables going off. Am I dreaming?

take care, jonno ???

Could well be several things going on here at once, generally unusual pongs like that are A/C related, when was the last time the A/C was serviced. Might need some anti bacterial stuff running through it. I believe Halfords sell it. I get engine smells sometimes in my cabin which i believe is related to the a/c drain plugs(Which i cleaned a month ago) think i might need to reseat them in their pipes.

The blower in the Capri (no aircon in those days ;)) used to stink at times, turned out to be from a leaky matrix.

Not sure that the aircon could cause a stink like this, all it does is suck moisture out of the air, shouldn't be any contact with refrigerant (fishy smell and nausea :D).

Regards, Bruce.
