Hi..Im having a problem with the barrel on my car..I cant turn the key..ive tried allsorts but it just wont budge..The problem is the front window is down and i cant get it up..Is there a way i can get it up manually..Thanks

Have you got another key? try that if possible.

Has your car got global closing? lock the car with the key and hold the key in the locked position for a few seconds.

Other than that its a hotwire job

If you need to rebuild the ignition lock the procedure is HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ignitionlock.htm). You really do need to get a key to turn the lock to POS I, as that is only way to access the 'detent' which allows the barrel to slide out. It is a grief job otherwise so try another key or persevere with the old one, fingers crossed. :)
