Post by siim789 on Oct 14th, 2006, 4:16pm
I have 95 2.0 Scorpio GHIA with auto climate system. When I put  temperature HI and turn on fan then it should be blow warm air ??? but my car blows always cold air. Did anyone knows what might be the problem. But sometimes if temperature is HI and fan is of...then aboute minute it blows hot air when I´m driving

Worsed scenario....Heater matrix could be blocked....
Check pipes going to & from it to see if they are both hot. If inlet pipe is hot & outlet pipe is cold, then there is a blockage in the matrix :).

Best scenario....C/C needs resetting :)

It's about this time of year when THERMOSTATS start to act up.  ;)

I've had this. The possibilities are:

1)  The thermostat's had it.

2)  The thermostat housing is breached (in which case you would get warm air until you started moving and it would then blow cold).

3) The heater/air-con radiator either has an air blockage in it or it is completely gone.

4) The whole heater matrix is blown.

Cheers
