hi, i've just bought a 2 litre ultima and the heaters don't work. nor the a/c. if i leave it on auto, ten minutes later, i'll get a blast of outside temperature air and thats it. does anyone know what it could be? i've just put a new thermostat in. is there a valve or something where i can get rid of an airlock? but surely the fan would work at least...

Read THIS page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acindex.htm) and go through the links on the left. There is no 'specific' valve but one way is run the engine until hot with the cap off and see if air bubbles out. It is said to help if you do this with the front elevated on an uphill slope. In going through the links, if it is climate control you have, follow the re-set procedure. The Johnnycab method of clearing an air lock may help too.
