hi guys i seem to have a problem with the rear window all the rest of the windows work but the rear back window only works sometimes even then it seems like its struggling i can hear the solinoid activating in the front any suggestions on repairing greasing it cheers guys

The only way to find out what's going on, is to remove the panel from the door interior, and see what's happening. It could be a duff solenoid, or (more likely) it could be the window regulator assembly which needs some TLC and cleaning and re-greasing. The regulator is the half moon shaped ratchet that actually drives the window up and down.

My advice would be to dismantle as little as possible. Don't take the glass out unless absolutely necessary, as it can be a cow to put back!! :o.

Use WD40 to reach areas where you cannot see properly. Once you've lubricated things, re-connect the battery, and work the window up and down still with the door panel off, to check the operation.
Usually, these sticky windows soon work again, once they have had a bit of attention.

The solenoid operating piston often benefits from a light spray of silicon lubricant.

Had a fault on the Jag where it had no electric windows and central locking (used to have to climb over and swing the levers back to open the rear doors). Central locking was the grease on the arms on the motors sticking like glue, windows were solved by stripping the console switches and cleaning them, new rubber sills and whistlestops, worked fine thereafter, much cheaper than recon motors/solenoids @ £350 per set...

The drivers door had a gallon of water sloshing around inside, as did the Scorpio judging by the grease and mud inside, could wreak havoc with the window mech. Only reason it drains on the Scorp is through the puddle lights.

Could be a burnt set of windings on the motor, could just be it needs greasing as Spannerdemon said. May be worth checking none of the sills are fouling the glass either, a fouling seal would slow it down a lot.

I have / had the same problem, rear passanger window was sticking...

Took of the trim panel, removed the plastic / sponge / sound proofing on there and found that the window elevator was dry as a bone, metal and plastic parts where rubbing on dry. Added a lot of vaseline and now it works....i think also the window motor neded a few drops of oil but i was in a hurry and didn't take it out
