Hello, all, I hope that someone can point me in the right direction please?

How do you remove the Bosch fuel injectors from the fuel rail on a BOB 24v....:(

I have taken the fuel rail to the local FI specialist, but he doesn't know how to get the injectors out.... he has tried 'pulling', but they don't move, and he doesn't want to try twisting them out as it will break off the locating lug?

Is there a special tool, or a knack...? :)

they appear to be a push in fit, possible that the o rings have gone hard, hense they are stuck in the holes

Yes, that is what it says, but as in Haynes World, things are not that easy..... :(

I think the O rings have got so hot, they have glued/welded themselves in situ.....
Has anyone tried 'knocking' them out, but without damaging the pintle, or gripping them in some way, but again, with out damaging them?

.... or is there a special Ford tool....... any FMC people out there?

If you pull them the top breaks off.

Better to twist them & only break the locating lug that is not that important anyway.

No special tool as normally they just pull out but try that after 10 years >:(

i have been advised to twist them, and break the locating lug, so that is what i will try later this week... :)
I will let you know how we get on.....

Does anyone know of a source for these injectors, anywhere ?
