Title: invisible scorpio?
Post by big_neil on Nov 17th, 2006, 2:23pm
does anybody else have the same problem as me?people pulling out of jcts. pedestrians stepping off kerbs in front of me,women pushing prams onto my immediate roadway, i sometimes think i,m invisible, did ford maybe fit the scorpiowith stealth technology without telling any one? if you have i,ve found the simplest solution at no cost whatsoever! i now drive all the time on dipped headlights the results are unbelievable, i know it makes sense but you,d never think of doing it would you?these scandavian people proved it works,, why not use their principle, no excuse now for the usual,,,,sorry i didn,t see you,,,,well you will now i,m 15ft long with 2 big lights on the front!!

It's not invisible, they get drawn to the Scorpio's beauty ;)

You do get some nowadays, like the people who wait until you're almost level before they pull out of a side street in front and the ones who do the same at roundabouts and poodle around the entire thing in the outside lane...

Thinking about fitting a plasma cannon and a propeller to mine for the unavoidable tailbacks on the A12, I will try the stealth thing though, would be handy for that occasional 3 Series driver behind ::)

As Bruce says.....maybe people aren't used to seeing things of such beauty or such ugliness (all in the eye of the beholder)  ;)

They just assume it's an hallucination/trick of the mind ;D

Yes.

I can verify the fact that the headlights help.

In Finland it is mandatory to use headlights, even though it won't
get dark at all in the midsummer. But it's a proven fact that it really
helps.

Trust me, I live here  8)

Hi there Big-Neil
what colour is your car, I had a yellow Ford Cortina estate once and nobody could see that.
I got rid of it eventually because people kept driving into it :-[

you'd think yellow would stand out.

Maybe they were drawn to it because of it's beauty?  ;D

I'd just love......just ONCE........ to be able to jump out of my car, and say to the previously ignorant smirking ass-hole lying under the front axle in a pool of blood, sh*t and snot........."Sorry mate, I didn't see you either", when they walk out in front of you quite deliberately looking the other way!!  >:(
