i have started getting steamed up windows all round,the floors and carpets are bone dry and it has been raining like 24hours constant for 5 or so days now...when i open the doors the sills have surface water,and iseem to have a noisier ride at higher speed...could it be the rubber seals round the doors which is the problem??ive checked them but the all seem well stuck on with no apparent wear or tear...has anyone had similar problems?any advice would be great..thanks

Hmmm...misty windows, eh? what you been getting up to? :o ;D ::)

If you're talking about the rubber 'valeting strips' on the edges of the door sills, these do trap water, one of the reasons the door bottoms on the Scorpio are prone to go scabby. If you was getting damp inside then you'd know by the dank smell and damp trim, a certain amount of moist air on the inside reacting with the air on the outside will cause misted windows. If it bothers you you can put one of those moisture absorbing boxes inside like people buy for their wondow sills, should cure it.

The Scorpio runs quiet at speed so any increase in wind noise will notice easily.

Hi,
I've noticed the windows do mist up in rain when I've got passengers this time of year when its cooler outside. Its always cleared when running the air con, esp the right hand setting as this demists the windscreen.

I have the same problem in my Taxi....like Pegasus says.

Raining....wet people get in....windows mist up badly.....switch on aircon....misty windows gone.

Also, if it's raining, & the aircon isn't running then it mists up quicker when stationary :)

well as soon as it appeared,its now gone(steamy windows)the rain hasnt let up if anything its got worse but im walking out to a clear car now....strange but true...i dont have air con...got the basic exec model so god knows what went on,thanks for the suggestions anyway guys...another scorpio voodoo trick me thinks!!
