I just bought a scorpio key fob on ebay and my car doesn't seem to respond to it. the owners manual says after pressing a button on the remote just open the dorrs with a key and it will be programmed...well mine isn't. oh..batteries are replaced with brand new energizer ones...any ideas please? I don't like to open the car with usual key...http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/YaBBImages/wink.gif

Try putting the key in the ignition, turning it to the first position I, then off four times finishing at the I position - at which point you should hear a bong. Mine seems to give the bong at three and not care much how fast or slow you do the switching, so use the bong as the clue to it being ready for programming-

Now press the unlock button on the fob, which should produce a second bong sound that's it all done.

[] Same on mine, turn the key 3 times, leave it on pos 1, press the unlock button and you're done ;)

Intention, you will come to find that the remote is a thing of unfathomable mood.

I had 2 lovely years with my scorp but the remote drove me so mad with it's "moods" I eventually sold the car!

Not knowing if the ......g thing would work from moment to moment became intolerable!!

touch wood, its the only part of my car that hasnt given me any grief ;D between the two of us, we had a workable car...
