Title: Re: mot failure Post by Simmo on Feb 24th, 2007, 3:23pm The failure of wiring in this area due to heat is well known. You will find THIS firm (http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/homepage/home.html) useful for wiring. BEWARE though the connectors on the Scorpio are not available as a separate item and those that look the same ARE NOT. If you can salvage the wiring close to the connector ,solder the new and then insulate with heatshrink material that is a way to overcome the issue. Some members run the wiring through heat resistant material to protect the new loom. |
