Title: ABS traction control light

after a mamoth 420 mile drive on friday the abs and traction control lights came on on my 20 ltr 1996 scorpio easate this happend about a mile away from home so i pulled over turned engine off and re started the engine the lights came on and went off as normal its been ok since is this anything to worry about or is it a sign of things to come should i check anything ????

check and clean rear wheel sensors.

Remove the sensor and clean the whole item, should clear it hopefully ;D  unless you end up unlucky like me having to replace the ABS pump :(

Agree with above, mine came on - cleaned the rear sensors and no problems since. That was ages ago.

Rough ground may cause the lights to come on, uneven tyre pressures have been known to do same.

if not the rear sensors i will do you a good price in a abs pump if needed,and yes i still need a good drivers side spot light ,but then wat are frends 4 ????? dont forget thouse who have looked after you b4..
