:) Thanks for the replies on my question on 'Charging Light and Flat Battery', but a follow on from that topic is, " how many wires should be connected to the Neg terminal on the battery of a 1995 2.5 turbo diesel", and will the car work for several months if one is left off, sorry to be a pain

Two on my diseasel! Large one for starting and stuff and a smaller one which will cause wierd stuff if left off!

:) Thanks Chaps, thats what Iv'e got, funny thing is, now Iv'e charged the battery externally, there doesn't seem to be a problem, 'spose thats the wrong thing to say as I havn't tried to start it this morning

It's entirely possible your new alternator isn't working properley. Check what voltage you get at battery terminal with headlights on full.
