Title: Re: DIESEL 2.5 VM CYLINDER HEAD 4 of Post by TiberiuS on Jul 14th, 2007, 8:24pm [] Snapped studs aren't the end of the world, this sort of thing is a pain on older British cars. A well equipped workshop shouldn't find it a problem at all. Mate of mine had a snapped stud on an exhaust manifold, he went into overkill mode and had the broken stud electro discharge machined...cost him about £70 but no damage at all to the cast iron head :). |

Title: Re: DIESEL 2.5 VM CYLINDER HEAD 4 of Post by sector-9 on Jul 14th, 2007, 8:41pm Definitely try to avoid disturbing the heads if possible; it's not advisable to remove one on it's own, and each has it's own gasket set to replace! Darren |
