Hi, I'm new here!
I'm from Sarajevo, and I have some problems with my Baby Scorpio...Maybe Highlander or some else can help me! I have read in one post that changing the thermostat...I can not now find a post, I just new I've read it before 3. days...I have the similar problems with my :( Baby Scopio.

My Baby is 2.3 build 1997. came from Holand before 3-5. years here in Sarajevo and it's mine in october.

We do not have market here for second part, just a dealer Ford... I can just say that any part I ask is: 600 euros?????

How can I change my babies dipers????
I'm a mother !!!! :o HELP!!! :'(

Something it is wrong with my cooling system....It drink all the waters or antifrost liquid very fast....So I have read that someone(????) change the thermastat and the all problems are gone....Maybe You all (LUCKY PEOPLE :'() can help me.... My e-mail is: mitrovicaleksandra@yahoo.com

It boils cause it has low water after some time. Think it is caused by lack of water. But what I wanna stress is that I desperately need that part and I can not find second hand part here. Do anybody know how can I order the part and from whom?

Hello & welcome to the site :)......

You must have a leak somewhere in the cooling system if the water level keeps going down.

Find the leak & fix it, & that will probably solve your problem :)

Regarding changing the thermostat & anything else related to the cooling system have a look here.....

P.S...a thermostat in the UK is about £15....so about 25-30 euros ;)

Hello, Yep definitely a leak, can you see anything? might be the heater matrix or head gasket too

It appears from the pm i just received that the fault is actually a cracked inlet manifold hence the 600 euro price tag quoted

I got a pm as well & also got the impression that it was down to a cracked inlet manifold.

The pm also mentioned that the cooling system was boiling over as well :(

But does it boil over because of low coolant or because maybe the head gasket has gone ? :-/

try ebay, there are usually a couple on there. (nothing at the minute) :(

Some people have tried repairing their manifolds with reasonable success

i've noticed in these pics that i have almost the similar crack on the manifold. Though my manifold hasn't cracked on the inlet but near the triangular part above the three inlets. i find it strange though that my manifold crack doesn't leak very much when u give it a bit rev. Instead it leaks on the bronze inlet in picture which, as far as i've noticed, delivers the coolant fluid to the motor. at about 4,5k rpm there's a stream of coolant fluid as if it cannot take the preassure...

Is it the one top right of P9060005a.jpg?
That feeds the heater matrix.
Pressure could be higher there until the thermostat opens – especially if the matrix is blocked.
Someone on the mailing list had that pull out when he removed the hose.
I believe he glued it back with araldite or similar but I don’t know how successful it was.

hi there

the plastic manifold is repairable using quicksteel (http://www.prontoparts.co.uk/quiksteel.asp), etc.

i fixed mine over 2 years ago and it's still holding.
