i've found the alarm horn and believe from previous posts that this is different to the main horn.
Main horn is not working ,anyone know its location.Car is 1996 2.5 tdi,cheers,phil.

I think you will find it behind the front drivers side wheel - is on mine anyway!

they tend to muck up with road grime ,try cleaning the connections ,it usually works.

Yes as Dave says,peer up between the offside front wheel and the bumper and you will(or should)see a pair of grimey old horns.I bought a car once and one of them was missing,they dont sound very exciting without the pair.

thanks for the replies guys, does anyone know if the horn fuse supplies both horns or are they on seperate circuits,cheers,phil.

Fuse 9 and relay 10 in the central (drivers side) fuse box are listed as covering the horn and it think it highly unlikely that the alarm sounder (horn) would be covered by the same circuit.  :)

If you mean seperate fuses for both the twin horns,no they are wired in parallel.
