Title: Parking Light Woes Post by PeteB on Dec 13th, 2008, 4:34pm As you are aware I've been suffering from the odd electrical gremlin, however after replacing the main fusebox all appeared to be well again. However the first time when I selected parking on my light switch nothing happened and now both the front left hand side side light and rear left handside light will not come on at all almost as if there is some form of short ? This was not a problem before with the old fuse box. I have also tried changing the light switch and this did nothing... I'm thinking a possible wiring fault ??? Your opinions please. Pete |

Title: Re: Parking Light Woes Post by Simmo on Dec 13th, 2008, 5:39pm Pete. Are you sure the main connector to the fusebox is correctly fitted?. It MUST have the locating pegs located in the lugs on the box BEFORE you press it home or it will go down but be one row of contacts out and produce the sort of problems you are having. ;). There is a saying on here "If it goes down easily the first time you try it 'aint on right". ;) |

Title: Re: Parking Light Woes Post by PeteB on Dec 14th, 2008, 12:56pm Well I must just be unlucky, as the front side light had infact blown and for some reason the loom in the back has a slight break\bend in it. How do I go about repairing the loom in the back ? I take it I can just use connectors to splice the damaged wires together ? Does anyone know what each coloured wire powers ?? Pete |
