Title: Re: ABS LIGHT Post by Simmo on Jul 31st, 2016, 3:44pm It sounds like a loose connection. The unit carries out a self test on the sensors BUT it can stay on until you reach 8-10mph as we think that is about the speed that the motor would cut in to assist with braking. There are many minor issues which can cause such problems. Dirt on the sensors, wiring issues or the famous Dry solder problem which is documented elsewhere. Here (ttp://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=admin;action=display;num=1268910490) You might also like to read through this article and others listed on the left hand side 'buttons'. Title: Re: ABS LIGHT Post by Simmo on Jan 20th, 2017, 9:23am Try disconnecting the battery for a while. Have you driven the car since changing the sensor? Once you drive it above 10mph it should go out if you have found and cured the fault. |
