Hi Everyone,
As I don't have any answers on my subject, I've tried rewording it. My M reg 24v has been having problems with the gears for a long time. Finally the computer has come up with 'Sensor on gearbox misaligned' our electrician says he needs the protocol to be able to realign the sensor. Please does anyone know this protocol?
I've owned this car since 2008 and although I don't post on here very often I have known some of the members for a long time. Please can anyone help me.

The black sensor is prone to seizing, but you can strip them down and clean them. It needs a special tool to set the alignment
